Selecting and / or the application of an unsuitable pigment shade may result in an undesired outcome. Eyebrow tattoo pigment removal is the most effective way of addressing this. We can create a blank canvas for you to start your eyebrow tattoo journey again, or the option for you to return to your natural brows.
Uneven Fading
When an eyebrow tattoo fades, it often appears uneven. Clients can either choose to have their tattoo re-applied or in many instances, have the tattoo pigment removed. This allows them to return to their original brow style and shape.
Eyebrow Trends Change
As brow trends evolve, shapes that were once populate become outdated. To be able to modify the style of an eyebrow tattoo, clients may first need to lighten the pigment. This is where eyebrow tattoo removal is beneficial.
How do I know if I am a good candidate to have my eyebrow tattoo removed?
Most clients who are unsatisfied with their eyebrow tattoo results will benefit from our tattoo removal procedure. This is provided they understand that it may take a little patience and time to get the desired outcome.
Through the consultation process we will help you to better understand the results you should expect.
Can every colour tattoo be removed?
Utilising the Pico Way technology we can remove most coloured ink.
Our experience with tattoo removal show that darker colours are particularly effective in terms of tattoo removal, largely due to darker colours being made up of smaller molecules. In contrast, clients who are seeking to have lighter, whiter or brighter pigments may require several treatments and / or on occasion the due to the composition of the inks they might not respond to laser treatment. Please note, this is rare
How does the process work?
To explain the process at a very high level, the Pico Way laser equipment we utilise shoots intense pulses of light which then travel through the skin and break the tattoo ink into tiny particles, which your immune system can then flush away. The flushing away is what results in the fading of the tattoo. Refer to our Home and About page for more detailed information on this process
How long does a treatment take?
The treatment time varies between clients and is dependent on the size and the colour. Your initial treatment will provide us with a good indication of future treatment and we will of course do our best to provide some guidance during your consultation.
How many treatments will be needed to remove my eyebrow tattoo?
While this is variable and dependent on the type of ink used, the colour and the size of the tattoo, many eyebrow tattoos can be cleared in 6 or less treatments. That is not to say all. We will offer you a initial consultation where we can provide an early view but will most likely be able to better confirm the number of treatments after you first one or two.
Will you be able to remove the whole tattoo?
At Brows Be Gone, the tattoos we have treated have largely completely disappeared but there is never a full guarantee. There are no tattoo removal studios that can guarantee 100% removal of the tattoo. There are on some rare occasions where the client might be left with some blemishes.
Will the laser eyebrow tattoo removal process hurt?
While you will experience some mild discomfort, we numb the area with a topical anaesthetic cream prior to the treatment to reduce the level of discomfort. Your comfort is of the utmost important to us. We want to make the experience as pleasant as we possibly can.
How long do I need to wait between treatments?
Our guide (and in order to get the full benefit from each treatment) is for clients to wait 6-8 weeks between treatments, at minimum. This provides sufficient time for the skin to heal and for your immune system to flush away the ink particles.
What should I expect through the healing process?
While there may be some degree of discomfort following the process, any redness or soreness usually subsids within 24 hours.
Following the initial treatment, clients may also see a slight swelling in the skin but again, this will start to reduce within 24 hours and typically returns to normal in under 7 days.
The process may result in a slight matting and in turn loss of the hair. This is temporary and any hair lost during the process will grow back.
How soon after having my eyebrows tattooed can I start the removal process?
At Brows Be Gone Mornington we recommend that you wait at least 8-10 weeks before commencing the laser eyebrow removal procedure. We recommended this so that ample time has passed for the tattoo ink to settle into the dermis and to ensure that the colour is clearly visible on the skin.
